Boat Rides In Jungle
Sanctuaries interspersed with rivers or tributaries have facilities for boat rides for visitors. Famous Periyar Tiger Reserve is one of the sanctuaries. Launches and paddleboats are used. These trips are undertaken at regular timings. Boat rides are especially interesting because one can watch the animals in their natural form. One should not rush to the edge of the launch or boat. Cameras and binoculars should be firmly secured. Photographers with video cameras and cameras with tele-photo lenses should try to shoot in line with the movement of the boat. The boat should be stopped or slowed down or engine switched off if possible for better photography.
