    Located 40 kms from Thodupuzha town Idukki sanctuary spreads over the Thodupuzha and Udumpanchola taluks of Idukki district.It was formed in 1976.The animals found here include elephant, deer, bear, leopard, tiger, wild pig etc.
    Birds seen are hornbill, kingfisher, woodpecker.Among reptiles one can find cobra, viper, python, ratsnake etc.
